Hello there! Happy Memorial day to my American friends! Two great link ups for today above, click the pretty buttons!

• I have not been drinking nearly enough water lately. With the summer heat and humidity here, I need to keep on it. What is your fave bottled water? Or flavored water? I LOVE smart water, but it is a bit pricey. So my second fave would have to be iced lemon water. You have to put the ice in first, then squeeze the fresh lemon on top of the ice, then put in the water... It makes a difference which order you go in. I swear.

• For our 7th Anniversary Mychael and I hoped in the car had an overnight stay in San Antonio. So much fun! We absolutely love the Riverwalk. We went to the Tower of the Americas, you HAVE to go. So so pretty, and so windy. Don't wear a dress... or this may happen. Almost a Marilyn Monroe moment.

• I found these fabulous Peacock Feather earrings at Target last week. I want to wear them every day! For some reason the Target earrings that are nickle free don't bother my ears. I have never been able to wear fake earrings for more than a couple hours. I can leave these in for a full 8hrs and not be bothered by them!

I received an email from one of those wedding websites that I signed up for (don't we sign up for a million of them when we get engaged?) the subject was wedding day nail polish, one was a french manicure but with glitter tips. I figured, sure, I'll give it a shot. I am so in love!

Today is my 4 year Blogoversary! I can't believe it! I have blogged about anything and everything. I have poured my heart out, and I have completely shut down. I'm so glad I have kept it all in one place though and I am glad that I have met some really amazing people, some whom I have never met but I call my real life friends anyhow. The girls I text, blip, and send random cards to!

Seven Years. I love you.

Happy 7th Anniversary, Mychael. I can't believe it has been 7 years for us already! It seems like 7 is our lucky number. We knew each other for 7 months before we started dating, we were dating for 7 months before you whispered to me "I love you", I can still remember that night, I can still feel your heart beating rapidly, my head was on your chest. Now, 7 years together and I'm getting ready to call you my husband. My husband... wow...

I knew you were the one when...

• we were sitting out at buzzfest because I wouldn't hang out with you alone, you took off your sunglasses and for the first time I noticed your beautiful blue eyes and your amazing smile. The way you looked at me was the way no other guy had before. 
• we went out on our first date, you opened my doors for me, and talking to you came naturally. 
• you were impressed with my eating skills. 
• we watched our first movie together at your house, I layed cuddled in your arms and they just felt like "home". 
• I realized that you were never just "some guy" to me. I genuinely cared about you, I loved you, but I would never be the first to say it. I just hoped you loved me too.
• my family let me travel out of state with you. what? they never let me stay out past 10pm and they trusted you with their only daughter?
•  you told me "no" for the first time... I even did my hair flip and batted my eyelashes. You told me "no"...
• you bought me my heart necklace on our 1st anniversary that I wear almost daily, you told me the diamonds in it represented the past, present, and the future. I didn't freak out when you mentioned future.
• my family and I lost our house during Hurricane Ike, you told me everything was going to be okay, we would make it through. I layed in bed hysterically crying night after night and you stayed up with me as late as I needed you to. I didn't feel like I could go on, I was so lost, but you always knew exactly what to say to help me calm down and wake up to another day. 
• you sat on my parents couch as I was telling them that I was going to be losing my Marco, my baby, because of feline diabetes and you stopped me and showed me a website with a forum of people who all had cats with feline diabetes, you told me and my parents that we weren't going to lose him it was treatable, we would find a way. And we did.  
• on numerous occasions you have taken it upon yourself to help my parents out in whatever way they may have needed. From helping them move, to making a few phone calls, to setting up and attending appoints for/with them or just being there for them with a listening ear. 
• we are sitting at home watching TV and the cats are fighting over who gets to sit in your lap, when you are sitting at the dining room table eating your salad while I am getting our plates together, when you wake up in the morning and the first thing you do is come over to where I am getting ready and give me a great big hug from behind and a kiss on the cheek.

I can't wait to be Mrs. Houck. I'm so excited to see what the future holds for us. I wonder where we will be a year from now? I really don't care, just as long as it is you and me continuing along this journey.

save the date 10.13.2012

It looks like we are keeping our date! Do you remember our wedding planning uh-ohs here and here? Those of you who left comments, thanks so much for your encouraging words.

Picking items for your wedding which represent you as a couple is so hard y'all! We used Wedding Paper Divas. They have so many save the dates to choose from. We played around on their website for hours at a time! We finally decided on the one above. Super simple, and clean. Refreshing, and ... just, us! 

When Mychael opened the box and saw them his eyes started to water. For me, holding them in my hands, I just got this overwhelming feeling in my heart! They are super gorgeous, you can't tell from the photo above but they have this slight shimmer to the paper and it makes it super classy. We couldn't be happier. 

I mailed off our save the dates on Monday!!!! We are just 5 months away from the wedding. Good gosh time flies by so fast!

I suppose we should start looking at the invitations, and programs,and thank you notes...
